George Graves (1) was born in 1807 and died before 1847, both in Georgetown, Washington, DC.  He married Eliza Susan Davis, daughter of Francis Samuel Davis and Susannah (“Susan”) Anna Morse, on 23 Dec. 1826 in Washington, DC.  She was born 20 March 1808 in Prince George Co., VA (according to R‑1) or in 1808 in Port Tobacco, MD (according to R‑3), moved to Georgetown as a child with her parents, and died 23 April 1878 at 3 Greene St., Georgetown, DC.  (R‑2, R‑3)

George Washington Graves (4) was born in 1834 in DC, probably in Georgetown, and died 26 Aug. 1863 in DC.  He married Mary Ann Mack on 5 Nov. 1857 in DC.  She was born in 1837 in VT, and died 5 Nov. 1882 at 403 K St. NW, Washington, DC.  (R‑3, R‑4)

John B. Graves (5) was born 6 April 1836 in Washington, DC, and died 17 June 1915 in Elizabeth City Co., VA.  He married Catherine (“Kate”) Rebecca Jackson on 12 May 1858 in DC.  She was born in Jan. 1838 and died 9 Jan. 1917, both in Washington, DC.  They wre in the 1860 census for Georgetown, DC.  (R‑8)

Joseph Samuel Graves (6) was born 21 Jan. 1838 and died 11 June 1893, both in Washington, DC.  He married Eliza Jane Glover on 19 Aug. 1858 in Dumbarton Methodist Church, Georgetown, DC, by Rev. William B. Edwards.  She was born 17 Jan. 1841 in Dauphin Co., PA, and died 15 April 1923 (or 18 April 1916) in Washington, DC.  (R‑1, R‑2)

    34.   Bessie R. Birch, b. 17 July 1891 (DC), m. Archer L. Haycock, 17 Oct. 1911 (Washington, DC), d. 6 Feb. 1972 (Alexandria, VA).  1 son, David Legrand Haycock, b. 1 Nov. 1912 in DC, m. Barbara Joyce Tolley, 4 Dec. 1936 in DC, d. 22 Sept. 1986, and they had 2 sons.

Louis Henry Graves (16) was born in June 1862 and died 27 Oct. 1938, both in Washington, DC.  He married Mary Elizabeth McCormick (or McCormack), daughter of Michael McCormick and Mary Casserly, on 15 Nov. 1883 in St. Matthews, DC; priest was Rev. Placide Chapelle.  Mary was born in March 1863 and died 7 June 1937, both in DC.  (R‑3, R‑4, R‑7)

George Washington Graves (25) was born in Aug. 1866 and died 10 Feb. 1952, both in DC.  He first married Fanny Milton Haney about 1891 in Philadelphia, PA.  She was born in March 1867 in PA, and died 25 Dec. 1904 in DC.  He married second Mary T. ‑‑‑‑‑‑.  She was born about 1873 in VA.  (R‑5)

    46.   Elsie E. Graves, b. 1902 (DC), m. Robert S. Chamberlain.  He was b.c. 1904 in DC.  1 daughter.

 

Charles Tecumseh Albert Graves (29) was born 30 Sept. 1877 in Georgetown, MD (now part of Washington, DC)[1], died 21 Oct. 1953 in Washington, DC, and was buried in Oakwood Cem., Falls Church, VA.  He married Emma Virginia Buckingham on 19 Oct. 1904 in MD.  She was born 2 Feb. 1877 in Hunting Hill, Baltimore Co., MD, and died about 1925 in Washington, DC.  (R‑1)

Robert Bonner Graves (30) was born 3 July 1882 in Washington, DC, and died 12 July 1967 in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN.  He married Florence Bernice Judd, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Judd and Emma Mae Stearns.  She was born 17 Oct. 1901 and died 28 Jan. 1967, both in Minneapolis, MN.  (R‑2)

    49.   Robert J. Graves, b.c. 1929 (MN), m. Glorya (or Gloria) Kathlean Williams, d. 2019.  She was b. 4 July 1937 in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ, and d. 27 March 2016 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., NM.  1 daughter.

    50.   Gale Louis Graves, b. 4 Sept. 1936 (Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN), m. ‑‑‑‑‑‑, d. 7 Oct. 2011 (Tavares, Lake Co., FL).

George W. Graves (36) was born 13 Oct. 1884 and died 29 Nov. 1962, both in DC.  He married Margaret Voorhees, daughter of Alfred Voorhees and Maggie Walker, on 30 Sept. 1907 in Baltimore, MD.  She was born in 1887 and died in 1956, both in DC.  (R‑3, R‑4)

    51.   Ralph Voorhees (or A.) Graves, b. 2 Nov. 1908 (DC), m. Mary Bollman, d. Dec. 1976.  She was b. 24 March 1912 in Indian Head, Charles Co., MD, and d. 1 Nov. 2001 in MD.  Grandparents of Andrew Graves.

    52.   George William Graves, b. 18 Jan. 1925 (DC), m. Ruth ‑‑‑‑‑‑, d. 27 Sept. 1987 (Bethesda, Montgomery Co., MD).  2 sons.

 

Leopold (“Leo”) Henry Graves (39) was born 18 April 1891 and died in Nov. 1970, both in Washington, DC.  He married Mary Catherine Caslow, daughter of William H. Caslow and Lucinda Bateman.  She was born 18 Dec. 1889 in MO, and died in Oct. 1982 in MD.  (R‑7)

    53.   Louis Olin Graves, b. 10 Oct. 1924 (El Nido, VA), m. Dorothy Herbert, d. 12 Nov. 1999 (Gettysburg, Adams Co., PA).  According to his obituary in the Gettysburg Times, Nov. 15, 1999, he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.  3 sons and 2 daughters.

John Winter Graves (42) was born in 1885 and died in Aug. 1916, both in DC.  He married Theresa Belle Kondrup on 9 March 1910 in Washington, DC.  She was born in 1888 and died 16 Oct. 1967, both in Washington, DC.  (R‑5, R‑6)

Helen Louise Graves (47) was born 29 May 1912 in Georgetown, Washington, DC, and died after 1997 in MD.  She first married Roy Plunkard.  She married second David Reese Long, son of Reese Long and Anna Kefauver, about 1930 in Washington, DC.  David was born 28 Oct. 1913 in Rockville, Montgomery Co., MD, and died in March 1976 in New Orleans, Orleans Co., LA.  (R‑1)

Winter Kondrup Graves (54) was born 19 Oct. 1910 in Washington, DC, and died 5 April 1999 in Gaithersburg, Montgomery Co., MD.  He married Leonor Christen, daughter of Carlos O. Christen and Hortensia Juste, on 9 May 1939 in Lima, Peru.  She was born 30 March 1911 in Areguipa, Peru, and died 13 Nov. 2002 in Washington, DC.  They were in the 1940 census for Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., TN, with no children, and he was an electrical engineer working for the T.V.A.  (R‑6)
